Petrich

A woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision between a vehicle and the city bus she was riding in.

Evelyn Bonet filed a lawsuit June 26 in the Cook County Circuit Court alleging Francisco Bonilla, the Chicago Transit Authority and Jorge Perez, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Bonet was a passenger on a CTA bus driven by Perez on California Avenue and Augusta Boulevard on July 29, when a vehicle driven by Bonilla collided with the bus.

She accuses Bonilla and Perez of negligently operating their motor vehicles and failing to control speed, which caused the collision and her subsequent injuries.

Bonet is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney David S. Petrich of Sandman, Levy and Petrich in Chicago.
