The estate of a woman is suing over claims she died after being hit by a car in Chicago.
Jing You Situ, as special administrator of the Estate of Su Ai Xie, filed suit June 26 in Cook County Circuit Court against Gabriel Herrera, Glen D. Klock and Brookwood Builders Inc.
According to the complaint, Xie was riding her bike on Poplar Avenue near 29th Street in Chicago on May 29, when a vehicle driven by Herrera, during the course of his employment with the other defendants, struck Xie.
Situ claims as a result of the collision, Xie sustained severe injuries that led to her death. Her suit, which seeks more than $50,000 in damages, includes counts alleging wrongful death and negligence.
