A woman is suing over claims the attorneys she hired to represent her in a personal injuries claim failed to file a claim against the state of Indiana.
Roseann Barron filed a legal malpractice lawsuit June 30 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Faklis & Tallis PC and Robert Warsaski, individually and doing business as Law Office of Robert Warsaski Ltd.
According to the complaint, Barron was a passenger in a vehicle that broke down in Indiana on Oct. 4, 2011, when a tractor-trailer hit the vehicle which then struck her.
Barron claims she retained the defendants to pursue a claim against those responsible for her injuries, but that they failed to file a claim against the State of Indiana for the allegedly insufficient median by June 30, 2012, resulting in a diminished recovery for her suit.
Barron is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorneys at Susan E. Loggans & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
