Woman blames Sun Delivery for injury stemming from allegedly negligent headboard installation

Scales

A DuPage County woman is suing over claims she was injured as a result of a delivery company's negligent installation of a bed frame.

Elena Liboon filed a lawsuit June 30 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Sun Delivery LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Liboon purchased a queen-sized bed frame from Neiman Marcus and it was delivered to her home and installed by Sun Delivery in May 2010.

Liboon claims part of the installation included securing an ornamental piece to the headboard with heavy bolts, but that the defendant failed to property do so. On Aug. 12, the suit alleges Liboon's grandchild grabbed onto the headboard and the unsecured ornamental piece fell onto Liboon's face and head.

Liboon is seeking more than $30,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Mark S. Bishop of Roberts PC in Wheaton.
