Chicago printing company hit with suit from Xerox seeking $134K payment

A printing company is facing a lawsuit for allegedly failing to pay for leased equipment.

Xerox Corp. filed suit July 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against Inremembrance Printing Inc.

According to the complaint, the parties entered into an agreement on March 7, 2012 for the defendant to lease several printing presses designed by the plaintiff.

Despite fulfilling its obligations, Xerox has not received any payment from Inremembrance for the equipment, the suit states. Under the terms of the lease, Xerox claims it has accelerated all payments due and is owed a total of $134,430.49.

Xerox is seeking damages in the amount of $134,430.49, plus fees and costs, and is being represented by Glenview attorney David E. Cohen of Fisher, Cohen, Waldman, Shapiro LLP.
