Polacek

A man is suing over claims he was injured on a stairway on a construction site.

Daniel Bazzarone filed a lawsuit July 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Gibson Electric Company Inc. and Pepper Construction Group LLC, alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, Bazzarone was exiting Gibson's trailer setup for construction work on the premises of Palos Community Hospital on July 18, 2012, when another worker ran up the stairs and knocked him down.

The suit states Pepper Construction Group was responsible for safety on the premises, and both defendant companies are accused of negligence.

Bazzarone is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Thomas Polacek of McNamara Phelan McSteen LLC in Joliet.
