A suburban Cook County village is facing a lawsuit from the family of a man who allegedly died shortly after a collision with one of its trucks.
Jane Lee, as special administrator of the Estate of Won Suk Lim, filed a wrongful death lawsuit July 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the Village of Skokie and Frederic J. Zenner.
According to the complaint, Lim was driving eastbound on Harrison Street near its intersection with Harlem Avenue in Glenview on Oct. 15, when his vehicle was struck by a truck owned by the village and operated by Zenner.
Lee claims Lim sustained injuries in the collision that led to his death later that same day. The defendants are accused of proceeding at a speed greater than reasonable in a school zone and driving an overweight truck without appropriate tires.
Lee is damages in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional minimum and is being represented in the case by attorney Jangman Park of JP Law Group in Buffalo Grove.
