A collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle exiting a downtown parking garage has resulted in a lawsuit.
Vincenzo Brusca filed suit July 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against Ronald Levitt.
According to the complaint, Brusca was walking northbound on a sidewalk on the west side of Wells Street near its intersection with Washington Street on March 22, 2013, when a vehicle driven by Levitt exited a parking garage on Wells Street and struck him.
Brusca claims the incident caused multiple internal and external injuries. He accuses Levitt of carelessly operating his motor vehicle, traveling too fast for the conditions and failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian, exercise due care to avoid a collision and keep a proper lookout.
Brusca is seeking damages and is represented by Jordan W. LaClair of Parente & Norem P.C. in Chicago.
