A woman is suing over claims she was injured when the front door of a bank blew shut on her.

Traci Brodnax filed a premises liability lawsuit Aug. 4 in the Cook County Circuit Court against MB Financial Inc., 1600 Division LLC and Securitas Security Services USA Inc.

According to the complaint, Brodnax was entering MB Financial Bank on Division Street on Aug. 10, 2012, when the propped-open front door was blown shut by the wind and struck her lower back, pinning her between the door and door frame.

Brodnax claims the incident with the door, which the suit states weighed more than 100 pounds, caused serious injury.

She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Scott DeSalvo of the Law Office of Scott D. DeSalvo LLC in Chicago.
