A woman is suing the driver of a vehicle she claims hit her and her dog as they crossed the street in downtown Chicago.
Amber Morris filed a lawsuit Sept. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dennis Um, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, Morris was a pedestrian walking her dog across Jefferson Street in the crosswalk at its intersection with Monroe Street on Oct. 18, 2012, when Um struck them as he attempted to turn left onto Jefferson.
Morris is represented by attorneys Daniel McCabe and Nicholas D. Standiford of McCabeMiller in Chicago.
