A woman is suing the city, claiming she fell into a manhole after tripping on a loose cover.
Denisha White filed a premises liability lawsuit Oct. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the City of Chicago.
According to the complaint, White was on the parkway near South Princeton Avenue in Chicago on Nov. 5, 2013, when she tripped on a loose manhole cover, fell in and sustained injuries.
White, who accuses the city of being negligent in failing to maintain the premises, is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney Andrea L. Thompson of The Vrdolyak Law Group in Chicago.
