A woman who claims she was hit and dragged by a bus outside O'Hare International Airport is suing.
Ming Bing Chen filed a complaint Nov. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against Jaime Flores and Zimmerman Enterprises Inc. of Chicago, citing negligence.
The plaintiff alleges she was crossing the roadway at the lower level of Terminal 1 at O'Hare on Nov. 19, 2013, when she was struck by a Ford E450 bus driven by Flores, who was working for Zimmerman Enterprises. She claims she was dragged 20 to 30 feet under the bus, sustaining severe injuries.
Chen blames her injuries on Flores, who she says acted negligently by not keeping a safe lookout, exceeding safe speed limits, failing to brake upon seeing her, failing to keep the motor vehicle under proper control and failing to ensure brakes were properly serviced.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs, and is represented by Jonathan Walner of Harvey L. Warner & Associates of Chicago.
