Two people have been hit with a lawsuit over accusations a dog attacked a boy on their Schaumburg property.
Nora Zolen, individually and as the mother of a minor, filed a complaint Nov. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against Patrick G. Adkins and Sheri Jackson.
According to the complaint, Jackson on May 22, 2013 was on property in Schaumburg that she owned, rented and/or occupied. Adkins, the suit states, owned, managed and/or occupied the premises, and apparently knew Jackson kept a pit bull on the premises.
Zolen claims her son was visiting a friend on the premises and was attacked by Jackson's dog without provocation, causing severe and permanent injuries.
The plaintiff is seeking damages to compensate her and her son for his injuries, medical expenses, losses and legal cost. She is represented by attorney Telly J. Liapis of Ankin Law Office in Chicago.
