River North bar hit with suit accusing its employee of attacking a customer

A River North bar and restaurant is facing a lawsuit from a customer who claims he was attacked by a staff member.

Mason Holman filed a complaint Nov. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against G-A Restaurant, doing business as Stout Barrel House and Galley.

According to the complaint, Holman was at Stout Barrel House and Galley, at 642 Clark St., on Oct. 26, 2013, when he claims he was struck or otherwise attacked by an employee of the restaurant, causing injuries that required medical treatment.

The plaintiff accuses the defendant of failing to keep its patrons safe and being negligent n its hiring and training of staff.

Holman is seeking damages and is represented by attorney Jeffrey C. Schwartz of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
