Woman blames AT&T for trip over unburied cable line

A woman is suing over claims she fell over an unburied cable line.

Danaca Bosnakovski filed a complaint Nov. 19 in Cook County Circuit Court against Illinois Bell Telephone Co., doing business as AT&T Illinois, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Bosnakovski was staying with her daughter in Schaumburg on March 22, 2013, when she walked onto the patio area and tripped over an unburied cable line allegedly placed by the defendant.

Bosnakovski, who alleges suffered serious physical injuries as a result of the fall, claims the defendant failed to ensure its lines were properly installed and ensure the safety of their customers and other residents.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs, and is represented by attorney Daniel J. McDevitt from the Law Offices of Dwyer & McDevitt in Chicago.
