A Cook County woman is suing the owners of a Broadview restaurant that serves a buffet of Polish-American cuisine over claims she fell over an extension cord.
Margaret Marczak filed a complaint Nov. 25 in Cook County Circuit Court against Sawa's Old Warsaw of Broadview Inc.
According to the complaint, Marczak was at Sawa's Old Warsaw Restaurant at 9200 W. Cermak Road in Broadview, owned by the defendant, on Nov. 17, 2013, when she tripped and fell over a loose extension cord left on the floor.
Marczak claims the defendant failed to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff, and as a result, is to blame to causing her severe and permanent injuries.
She seeks damages in excess of jurisdictional limit, plus court costs, and is represented by attorneys from Ankin Law Office of Chicago.
