A Chicago law firm is suing five companies and an owner over claims they failed to pay for legal services.

Novack and Macey LLP filed suit Dec. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against American Invisco Corp., American Invisco Realty, American Invisco Realty Inc., Ontario Century Property, Dearborn Residential and their owner Nicolas S. Gouletas.

According to the complaint, the defendants retained Novack and Macey for legal services between Nov. 22, 2013 and December 2014. The firm alleges the defendants paid the firm about $50,000, but have failed to pay their outstanding balance of $61,109.52.

Novack and Macey is seeking that amount, as well as interest, and is represented by attorney John F. Shonkwiler of Novack and Macey in Chicago.
