A woman is suing over claims a Vernon Hills dentist negligently performed oral restoration work causing her to experience discomfort.

Amal Ahmed filed suit Jan. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Kenneth A. Holz and his dental practice.

According to the complaint, Holz provided dental care to Ahmed in the form of diagnostic and restorative care between April 29, 2013, until Jan. 3, 2014. Ahmed contends Holz carelessly and negligently prepared and fabricated dental restorations that were too large and interfered with her oral health. Ahmed further alleges Holz negligently inserted dental restorations despite her suffering from active periodontal disease.

Ahmed contends Holz's negligence resulted in further pain and discomfort to her. Her suit notes Holz filed a lawsuit against her that remains pending in the Cook County Circuit Court, although the subject of that case was not immediately known.

Ahmed is represented by attorney Anthony E. Blumberg of Anthony E. Blumberg & Associates in Chicago.
