A woman is suing a car dealership over claims she fell on ice while walking in its parking lot in Lansing.
Crystal Watkins filed a lawsuit Jan. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against Ridgeway Chevrolet Inc.
According to the complaint, on March 1, 2013, Clay slipped and fell on the accumulation of ice on the premises of the car dealership at 17730 Torrence Ave. in Lansing, causing her to sustain injuries.
Watkins alleges Ridgeway Chevrolet negligently allowed ice to accumulate in its parking lot, causing a dangerous condition for business invitees, and failed to remove the ice and give notice of the hazard. She also accuses Ridgeway Chevrolet of failing to barricade or cut off pedestrian traffic to the area.
Watkins is represented by attorney David M. Sternberg of Sachs, Earnest & Associates in Chicago.
