Menards hit with suit over customer's slip on paint

A customer is suing a Cicero home improvement store over claims he slipped and fell on paint while on the premises.

Jorge Alvarado filed a lawsuit Jan. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against Menards Inc.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 1, 2013, Alvarado slipped and fell on silver paint covering the floor near the entrance of the Menards at 2333 S. Cicero Ave. in Cicero, causing him to sustain physical injuries.

Alvarado accuses Menards of being negligent by failing to fix or remove the dangerous condition and warn customers about it. He is represented by Chicago attorney Robert A. Langendorf.
