Wise 150x150

A man is suing a scrap metal company over claims he hit in the face by a heavy pipe while working.

Felix Rosa Sr. filed a lawsuit Jan. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against Scrap Metal Services LLC.

According to the complaint, Rosa was assigned by his employer, Up N' Running LLC, to work at Scrap Metal Services facility in Burnham on Jan. 21, 2013. While working, Rosa claims he was struck in the face and body by a pipe being moved by another worker.

Rosa alleges Scrap Metal Services negligently failed to adequately supervise and train the workers on the proper way to move a pipe. He is represented by attorney David C. Wise of Burke Wise Morrissey & Kaveny in Chicago.

His suit names Up N' Running as a respondent in discovery.
