A woman is suing a community college in Palatine over claims she slipped on a wet floor.
Erin Williams filed suit Feb. 5 in Cook County Circuit Court against William Rainey Harper College, the school's board of trustees and educational foundation, the Illinois Community College Board and Community College District 512.
According to the complaint, Williams was on the college's property at 1200 W. Algonquin Road on Feb. 5, 2014, when she slipped on an accumulation of water on the floor, causing her to fall and sustain injuries.
Williams claims the defendants were negligent by failing to clear the floor of the water and warn her about the dangerous condition. She is represented by attorney Marc D. Alberts of Alberts Curran & Eiler in Chicago.
