A man is suing a nursing home over claims he was physically assaulted by two residents.

Paul Koch filed suit Feb. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against Midway Neurological and Rehabilitation Center LLC, Midway Neurological and Rehabilitation Realty LLC and Infinity Healthcare Management of Illinois LLC.

According to the complaint, Koch was a resident at Midway Neurological and Rehabilitation Center on Oct. 10, 2014, when he was physically assaulted by two residents in the designated smoking area in the presence of security personnel.

Koch claims he fell to the ground and was punched and kicked, causing injuries. He accuses the defendants of failing to provide adequate supervision and intervene in the assault.
