Relatives of a woman killed in a multi-vehicle crash are suing the woman's husband, alleging he was responsible for the July 2014 crash that took the life of his wife.
Andrea Idelman, administrator of the estate of Ina Idelman, filed a lawsuit July 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lloyd B. Idelman, alleging negligence and wrongful death.
According to the complaint, on July 18, 2014, Lloyd Idelman was driving north on McCormick Boulevard in Skokie, with Ina Idelman as his passenger, when he crashed into six vehicles, some heading in the same direction.
The suit says the defendant was negligent for driving without keeping a proper lookout and driving at an unsafe speed. As a result, Ina Idelman suffered injuries that led to her death.
Andrea Idelman seeks damages in excess of the court's jurisdictional limit, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Robert J. Bingle of Corboy & Demetrio in Chicago.
