Two medical services businesses are suing a patient who allegedly owes bills for thousands of dollars in medical care he received several years ago.
Marque Medicos 26th Street and Medicos Pain and Surgical Specialists filed a lawsuit July 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against Raul Andrade.
According to the complaint, from Feb. 3, 2010, to March 31, 2011, Andrade received various types of medical care from the plaintiffs, but still owes a considerable amount of the bill, even after his worker's compensation claim was settled May 31, 2013.
Once the plaintiffs received the settlement letter June 9, they began their effort to collect what was left to pay, the lawsuit states. The plaintiffs allege the balance due is $5,818 for Marque Medicos 26th Street and $42,045 for Medicos Pain and Surgical Specialists, as well as interest and costs.
The plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Katherine A. Rehan and Douglas R. Johnson of the Law Offices of Douglas R. Johnson in Chicago, and attorney Randall F. Pace, also in Chicago.
