Target sued over injury allegations following cart accident in Cook County store

A Posen resident is suing following injuries sustained in a certain Cook County Target Corp. store.

Trang Thi Le filed a complaint Aug. 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against Target Corp., alleging negligence.

The complaint states that on Aug. 11, 2014, around 2 p.m., the plaintiff was shopping near the bathroom/towel section of a Target store in Crestwood, when a Target employee struck the plaintiff with a cart, causing the plaintiff to fall to the floor and sustain injuries.

The complaint alleges that the employee acted negligently in her operation of the cart.

The plaintiff was severely injured, has incurred medical expenses, experienced pain and suffering and a loss of normal life, and sustained permanent disfigurement as a result of the accident, according to the complaint.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit.

The plaintiff is represented by Kent M. Lucaccioni of Kent M. Lucaccioni Ltd. in Chicago.
