Cubbybear

A Cook County man is suing over claims he was wrongfully treated by the security staff of Cubby Bear Chicago, a bar and grill establishment.

Jesus Perez filed a lawsuit Sept. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against the Cubby Bear Chicago, a division of Cubby Bear Lounge Ltd., citing negligence.

According to the claim, Perez was legally on the premises at the Cubby Bear, located at 1059 W. Addison in Chicago, on May 17 when he was removed and injured by one of the bouncers at the lounge, causing him to suffer severe personal injuries and past and present pain and suffering.

Perez is seeking judgment against the Cubby Bear in an amount determined at trial for any and all further relief the court deems just for the Cubby Bear’s negligence to not further police the situation, the claim states.

He is being represented by Michael T. McCracken of the Law Offices of Michael T. McCracken, located in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L009076.
