A Cook County man is suing an Alsip bar, alleging it served the alcohol that he says caused a violent altercation with another patron in which the plaintiff was injured.

Dominic Sisto filed a lawsuit Oct. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against Pappas Restaurants Inc., individually, and doing business as Bar 122, Jack Desmond’s Irish Pub Inc. Alsip Restaurant and Lounge Inc., individually and doing business as Bar 122, alleging violation of the Dram Shop Act. Defendant Emil Kozeluh, Sisto's alleged attacker, is accused of battery and negligence.

According to the lawsuit, on Oct. 22, 2014, Sisto was a customer of Bar 122 when Kozeluh became violent and attacked him. The plaintiff suffered cuts and bruises, the suit says, and he required hospitalization. The suit says the injuries are permanent and prevented the plaintiff from working and has cost him large sums for medical expenses.

Sisto seeks damages of more than $30,000, plus court costs. He is represented by attorney Terry M. Lachcik of the Law Office of Daniel E. Goodman in Rosemont.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015-L-010631.
