A Cook County man is suing a Tinley Park nursing home, alleging negligence in the death of his 75-year-old father.

Patrick Zientko, independent administrator of the estate of Richard Zientko, filed a lawsuit Sept. 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against McAllister Nursing & Rehab, doing business as McAllister Nursing & Rehabilitation, and registered nurse Steven H. Bianchi.

According to the complaint, Richard Zientko was at high risk for falls and required assistance with mobility during the time he lived at McAllister in Tinley Park, from May 2012 to December 2013. The suit says while he was a resident at McAllister, he was allowed to wander away from the facility and suffered several falls, some of which sent him to the hospital with injuries. He died Dec. 11, 2013, after being sent to the hospital with a broken leg.

Patrick Zientko seeks damages of more than $50,000. He is represented by attorneys Susan L. Novosad, Nicole T. Schroeder and Michelle L. Wesley of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015-L-00.
