A Cook County woman is suing property owners, alleging they allowed dangerous conditions on its premises.

Suzanne Waitz, independent administrator of the estate of Joan A. Miller, filed a lawsuit Nov. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Pillman Properties, Pillman Limited Partnership, Chicago Title & Trust, Correen Kelly and Kathleen C. Pillman.

According to the complaint, Miller tripped and fell July 31, 2014, on the sidewalk in front of Once Upon a Grill as she was entering the restaurant at 2758 Dundee Road, Northbrook. The suit says that by failing to repair and maintain the sidewalk for safe pedestrian traffic, the defendants are responsible for Miller’s injuries, which she suffered from until her death Nov. 9, 2014.

Waitz seeks damages of more than $50,000. She is represented by attorney of Stephanie B. Rubin of Rubin, Machado & Rosenblum of Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015-L-011471.
