A Cook County woman is suing county health care givers, alleging the doctors and hospital treating her mother for gangrene were negligent, leading to her death.

Amanda Johnson, executor of the estate of Regina Johnson, filed a lawsuit Nov. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against the county of Cook doing business as Cook County Health and Hospitals System doing business as John H.
