A Chicago man is suing a Park Ridge driver, alleging negligence for striking him in a walkway.

Zachary Wheat filed a lawsuit Aug. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against Vladeta Rajic.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 23, 2014, Rajic’s 2006 Volkswagon Jetta struck Wheat as the plaintiff crossed Touhy Avenue near its intersection with Summit Avenue in Park Ridge. The suit says Wheat experienced pain, suffering and disability, plus extensive medical expenses, lost wages and interference with daily activities.

Wheat seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus litigation costs. He is represented by attorney Jonathan D. Treshansky of the Bekkerman Law Offices of Chicago.
