CHICAGO – A Cook County woman is suing a South Holland nursing home, alleging says she suffered injuries due to negligence.

Linda Boyd filed a lawsuit Dec. 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against Manor Care of South Holland Illinois LLC, doing business as Manorcare of South Holland, alleging liability for personal injury.

According to the complaint, during her stay at Manorcare, 2145 E. 170th St. South Holland, Boyd fell and injured her rotator cuff, developed pressure ulcers and suffered from deterioration of her overall mental and physical condition. The suit says the injuries were caused by the facility’s negligence and failure to adequately supervise and treat her condition.

Boyd seeks a six-person jury trial and damages of more than $50,000. She is represented by attorney David M. Reis of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC in Chicago.
