Man sues construction contractor over injuries

Scaffolding

CHICAGO — A man is suing a construction contractor over injuries he allegedly sustained while working.

Carlos Zacarias filed a lawsuit Feb. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against RWE Management Company, alleging negligence.

The suit states that on July 26, 2014, Zacarias was working on a construction project for RWE at 350 N. Laflin St. in Chicago.

While Zacarias was working on scaffolding, he fell as a result of one or more unsafe conditions of the scaffolding and/or surrounding areas, the suit alleges.

RWE was allegedly negligent in failing to take precautions to provide a safe working surface for Zacarias, failing to adequately supervise and direct the work, and other negligent acts or omissions.

As a result, Zacarias was allegedly injured and suffered personal and pecuniary damages, according to the suit.

Zacarias seeks a judgment in excess of $50,000. He is represented by attorney Brian C. Hercule of The Law Offices of John S. Eliasik in Chicago.
