CHICAGO — The special administrator of a deceased woman's estate is alleging wrongful death in a lawsuit against a nursing home.

Leonard Delsol, special administrator of the estate of Isla Delsol, is suing Elmwood Care Inc., Generation at Elmwood Park Inc., Elmwood Care, S.I.R. Management Inc., Generations Healthcare Network LLC, Generations Healthcare Consultants LLC and Generations Health Systems LLC, citing alleged negligence.

The plaintiff filed a complaint on March 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they violated the Illinois Wrongful Death Act by failing to properly assess and monitor Isla Delsol's condition.

The plaintiff alleges that, on March 27, 2014, Isla Delsol exhibited abnormal breathing, but the condition was not addressed in a timely enough fashion and the nursing home resident died.

The plaintiff seeks compensation for an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Brian J. Holmes of Hurley Mckenna & Mertz in Chicago.
