CHICAGO — A Belvidere anesthesia clinic is suing a Frankfort medical facility, alleging the defendant did not pay the nearly $95,000 owed under a contract.
PeriOpt. Ltd. filed suit May 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against Windy City Anesthesia PC, of Frankfort, alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 25, 2014, PeriOpt entered into a written agreement with Windy City to compensate the plaintiff for $750 per day of work but has not received compensation due under the agreement. The complaint said PeriOpt is owed $94,900 under the contract.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant attempted to modify their terms of agreement, offered a reduction in compensation, falsely accused Dr. Joey M. Juarez, PeriOpt's owner, of not getting along with medical professionals, continued to book him for his services, terminated their agreement and refused to pay the amount invoiced.
PeriOpt seeks a trial by jury, and payment of the amount owed, plus interest and costs. It is represented by attorneys John T. Shriver, Neville M. Bilimoria and John D. Kendizor of Duane Morris LLP in Chicago.
