Daughter blames Park Ridge rehabilitation center for mother's death

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing a Park Ridge rehabilitation center, alleging negligence caused her mother's death. 

Darlene Kluch, as independent administrator for the estate of Alice J. Lucian, filed a lawsuit May 5 in Cook County Circuit Court against Presence Senior Services Chicagoland in Park Ridge, alleging negligence in failing to provide proper care to her mother during her stay.

According to the complaint, between Dec. 20, 2010 and May 12, 2014, Lucian suffered several conditionsat Presence Senior Services, including poor nutrition dehydration, that resulted in her death May 15, 2014. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to provide adequate care for her mother, such as providing sufficient nutrition and proper hydration.

Kluch seeks judgment of more than $50,000. She is represented by attorney Jeffrey E. Martin of Arlington Heights.
