Daughter blames nursing care facility for mother's death

Medical malpractice 07

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing a Chicago nursing care facility, alleging negligence led to her mother's death.

Alicia Taylor, as administrator of the estate of Clarice Taylor, filed a lawsuit May 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against Forest Edge Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, LLC, doing business as Bria of Forest Edge in Chicago, alleging the facility failed to provide proper medical care.

According to the complaint, between March 5, 2013, and June 3, 2015, Clarice Taylor suffered multiple injuries because of falling multiple times, leading to her death June 3. The plaintiff alleges Bria of Forest Edge failed to provide properly supervised care for Taylor while she was a patient at the defendant's facility.

Alicia Taylor seeks a trial by jury and judgment of more than $50,000. She is represented by attorneys Kelly A. Sabo and Kristen N. Koeller of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC in Chicago.
