Couple claims doctor did not diagnose cancer in timely manner

Medical malpractice 06

CHICAGO – A couple has filed suit against a doctor and several health care affiliates over allegations that breast cancer was not timely diagnosed.

Darouny Sison and Ramir Sison filed a complaint on July 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Indu Vence, Northwest Community Health Services, et al. alleging medical malpractice.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in 2013, Darouny Sison was diagnosed with breast cancer requiring extensive medical treatments. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to timely diagnose Darouny Sison's breast cancer when she initially sought medical treatment in May 2013, requiring her to undergo more extensive medical treatment with the increased risk of cancer recurrence.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants in an amount of more than $50,000. They are represented by Clark M. Raymond of Raymond & Raymond LTD in Schaumburg.
