APAC Centres for Pain Management patient alleges negligence caused injury

Medical malpractice 03

CHICAGO – A pain clinic patient has filed suit alleging she was injured because of the clinic's negligence.

Megan Olson filed a complaint on July 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against Advance Pain & Anesthesia Consultants PC, doing business as APAC Centres for Pain Management; Apac Partners LLC, doing business as Apac Centres for Pain Management; and Dr. Thomas Y. Pang, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in July 2014, she suffered serious physical injuries including permanent bilateral paraplegia and bowel and bladder incontinence. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly evaluate plaintiff's condition as well as failed to refer her to a neurologist when the pain management no longer provided relief to plaintiff's symptoms.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Lawrence T. Ruder of Goldberg Weisman Cairo in Chicago.
