Pink Monkey host says patron bit off ear, files suit for damages

CHICAGO – A front door host for a Chicago gentlemen's club alleges a patron struck him in the head and bit off his left ear.

Charles Dean filed a complaint on July 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Anthony Amunategui, alleging battery.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 18, 2014, he was working at the Pink Monkey when the defendant arrived as a patron, and the plaintiff explained to the defendant the code of conduct and requirements for entry. The suit states that a few hours later on Dec. 19, 2014, the defendant entered the lobby where the plaintiff was, became aggressive about his dissatisfaction of the club, and was asked to leave. The plaintiff alleges the defendant punched a glass door, struck the plaintiff and bit off his left ear.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Sandra J. Wortham of The Law Office of Sandra J. Wortham LLC in Chicago.
