CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate is suing Berkshire Nursing & Rehab Center LLC, individually and d/b/a Aperion Care Forest Park, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Tina Perez, independent administrator of the estate of Helen Singleton, filed a complaint on July 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Singleton.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, Singleton suffered pain as a result of falling from her chair. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly position Singleton in her chair to make sure that she didn't fall when she attempted to reach items.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Warren E. Abrahamson of Sandman, Levy and Petrich, LLC in Chicago.
