CHICAGO — A man is suing The Renaissance at Midway Inc. and Symphony Healthcare LLC, d/b/a Symphony at Midway, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Hoover Baker Sr., by Hoover Baker Jr., power of attorney, filed a complaint on July 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Hoover Baker Sr.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from February to July, Hoover Baker Sr. experienced pain from developing decubitus ulcers, which deteriorated his overall health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision at all times in order to minimize the risk of decubitus ulcers.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Daniel J. McDevitt of McDevitt Law Offices, P.C. in Chicago.
