CHICAGO — A woman is suing Carbon On 26th LLC, d/b/a Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill, a restaurant, alleging insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries, liability, negligence and product liability.
Hannah Tunstall filed a complaint on Aug. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant, alleging that the establishment served her food that was tainted with E. coli.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in June, she experienced pain from consuming a food item that was infected with E. coli. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to make sure that the food items it served was free of any contamination.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Philip J. Fowler of Karlin, Fleisher & Falkenberg, LLC in Chicago.
