CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family has filed a wrongful death claim, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Phillip Rossa, as independent administrator of the estate of Christine Rossa, filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against Aperion Care Forest Park; Yam Management LLC; Yam Consulting LLC; Aperion Consulting LLC; Aperion Care Inc.; and three individuals, alleging the defendants failed to provide proper care to Christine Rossa.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, Rossa fell and also developed a pressure ulcer, which contributed to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Rossa at all times to prevent her from falling and for allegedly failing to provide immediate medical treatment to her pressure ulcer.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by David M. Resis of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
