CHICAGO — A guardian is suing Alden - Valley Ridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc. and Alden Valley Ridge, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Michael Schwartz, as plenary guardian of Dolores Schwartz, filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Dolores Schwartz.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, Dolores Schwartz fell and suffered serious injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Dolores Schwartz and to implement a care plan to keep her from falling.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Brian J. Holmes and Michael T. Mertz, of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
