CHICAGO — A deceased man's family is suing Lexington Health Care Center of Orland Park in a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Mary Rollins, independent administrator of the estate of Ralph H. Rollins, filed a complaint in Cook County Circuit Court against Lexington Health Care Center, alleging that the facility failed to provide proper care to Ralph Rollins, who purportedly suffered from skin breakdown that contributed to his death.
The plaintiff holds Lexington responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and frequent monitoring of Ralph Rollins' overall condition.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount sufficient to satisfy the jurisdictional requirements of the court plus any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Michael Silverman of Horwitz, Horwitz, and Associates, Ltd. in Chicago.
