Alden Wentworth allegedly failed to prevent pressure ulcers

CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased man's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against Alden - Wentworth Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc., alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Lela Blanton,, as independent administrator of the estate of Samuel Felix, filed a complaint on Aug. 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Samuel Felix.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Felix developed pressure ulcers that contributed to his death. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Felix to make sure he did not develop pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Bella Feinstein of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman in Chicago.
