CHICAGO — A woman is suing Lexington Health Care Center of La Grange Inc. and Royal Management Corporation, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Mildred Calek filed a complaint on Aug. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to her while she was staying at their facility.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered pain from the development of a pressure ulcer. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to prevent the development of her pressure ulcer or to provide adequate treatment to keep the ulcer from worsening.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of the minimal jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Gerald J. Bekkerman of Bekkerman Law Offices, LLC in Chicago.
