CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate is suing Alden Estates of Naperville, The Alden Group Ltd., d/b/a Alden Management Services Inc., and Audrey Serritella, R.N., in a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Patricia Hass, as independent administrator of the estate of Susan Leonardo, filed a complaint on Aug. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Leonardo.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 28, 2014, Leonardo fell and fractured her hip, which contributed to or caused her death on Jan. 16, 2015. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision at all times to Leonardo in order to keep her from falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Susan L. Novosad and Jared M. Reynolds of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
